RIBA Part III Forum
In despair at the lack of training opportunities available for post-Part II architectural students preparing for their Part III examination JPA have introduced a monthly Forum to support students. This is held at our offices in Bewick House, in Horsley Business Centre, usually on the second Wednesday of each month. The event begins at 6.00 pm and is scheduled to last 2 hours, although it usually runs for longer.

There are ten available places each month, allocated on a first-come-first-served principle. Bookings must be made by telephone to Mrs Linda Danby on 01661 853345. The event is run without charge to attendees.

Each meeting will address topics of relevance to Part II graduates preparing for the RIBA’s Part III examination. You may bring along any topic you wish and each event will be hosted by a registered and chartered architect Director of JPA. Subject areas covered during recent meetings of the Forum include the Codes of Conduct of the RIBA and ARB; Forms of Appointment for the provision of Architectural Services; the RIBA Plan of Works; Tendering procedures; Contract Administration; Extensions of Time; certifying Practical Completion; Contractual disputes; Professional negligence; Insurance; and, Practice Management.

Occasional presentations will be available from other disciplines including structural engineers, solicitors, planners and quantity surveyors.

There is no charge for attendance, but successful applicants are asked to ensure they arrive in good time and, should you have to cancel a booking, then please do so in good time to allow the place to be reallocated.

Further details are available from Mrs L Danby on 01661 853345.

The next event will be held on TBC.
